APED-Q is not a diagnostic tool. It is a profiling instrument that maps how autism presents and identifies support needs. Results should not be used as a basis for self-diagnosis and should be interpreted alongside professional clinical assessment where appropriate.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using APED-Q, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Nature of the Service

APED-Q provides:

  • A dimensional profiling questionnaire for understanding how autism presents
  • Visualization of results across multiple domains
  • Identification of patterns that may warrant attention
  • Support strategies based on profile results
  • Downloadable reports for personal use

APED-Q does not provide medical diagnosis, clinical assessment, or professional treatment recommendations.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user, you agree to:

  • Provide honest responses to questionnaire items
  • Not use results as a substitute for professional assessment
  • Understand that results are dimensional and not diagnostic
  • Use the service for its intended purpose of self-understanding and support planning

4. Clinic Portal Users

Healthcare professionals using the clinic portal additionally agree to:

  • Use patient pseudonymous identifiers to protect patient privacy
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient assessment data
  • Use results as one component of comprehensive clinical assessment
  • Communicate the non-diagnostic nature of APED-Q to patients

5. Intellectual Property

The APED-Q questionnaire, scoring methodology, and associated content are protected by intellectual property rights. Users may download and use reports for personal or clinical purposes but may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialize the assessment instrument without permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

APED-Q is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any decisions or actions taken based on assessment results. Results should always be considered alongside professional guidance where appropriate.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
